In 2006, the Fat Boy Invitational started an annual scholarship program.  The program is designed to give college-bound students an opportunity to obtain financial help for their first year of college.  Students are chosen for the scholarship based on a financial need as well as excelling academically in their studies.  Other factors considered in selecting scholarship recipients is based on how the game of golf has helped them grow as a person.  Click here to be directed to the Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin website to fill out a scholarship application.

The game of golf teaches young children about rules, respect, hard work and dedication to achieve excellence.  It is that very reason the Fat Boy Invitational has developed this scholarship as it is our goal to give back to the game as it has given to so many.

Since 2006, we have awarded more than $28,000 in scholarships to students in the Stevens Point area.

The 2016 Fat Boy Golf Scholarship recipients were Abbie TerMaat, Jake Hofmeister, Kelsey Shuda and Taylor Thomas. They each received $1,000 to use for continuing their education.
